Pear Eyes is comprised of two lovers, Jen Allensworth and Shawn Shackelford. Shawn has been making electronic music since 1997 under the pseudonym's Renegade Android and unseelie.

Jen is new to the electronic scene, raised classically, she plays many instruments including the violin and clarinet, to which she has earned her recognition. Growing up in such a musical atmosphere, it is no wonder her melodies can reach such great heights. Pear Eyes doesn't follow any particular set of rules, with a 17 song album debut ranging from dancey electric pop to ambience and glitchcore.

Renegade Android is aka Shawn Shackelford. Born in 1977, he's been experimenting with computer audio since the mid-90's. His earlier work can best be described as a more comical take on breakcore, fusing highly flanged, minimal pop melodies with severely chopped, distorted breakbeats. He released his first two albums (Self-Titled & The Sprawl) with net-label D-Trash Records in 1999 & 2003.

2006 saw the release of "This is my Manager" and in mid-2007, "The Brilliant Opus Of Nothing" on our own gozombie records.

Archetypewriter

Archetypewriter is the most recent moniker Scott Boutin has given his output as a musician. Scott discovered the joy of sound manipulation in the early 90's as a guitarist and a DJ. A love of effects processing combined with a fascination with electronic music inspired his first non-rock oriented excursion into ambient music in 1993. Since then, he has recorded and performed in many different styles including Drum & Bass, Acid House, Dub, and Psychedelic improv. Scott released four records and one full length cd between 1999 and 2004 as BlueSoul, before focusing on more organic and experimental pursuits. The result is Archetypewriter, which attempts to find a most pleasant balance between electronic and acoustic, drone and complexity, pop and experimental. It reveals the eclectic taste of a long time music store employee and the curiosity of a sound obsessed human living at the crossroads of then and now.

From Chicago, Ipaghost creates a comprehensive blend of happy beeps and quizzical boops, with the occasional meow for good measure. It is music for the adventurous ear and is reminiscent of our continuing childhood which wishes not to be forgotten. Occasionally it sounds like the dreams of the mischievous monsters that make faces behind your back.

Hailing from France, Thiaz Itch began in 1999 somewhere half-way between crude-hardcore and infantile naivety. This unstable toon tells the musical stories of his coloured and pixellized universe. By his eclectic influences and his sound research, he intersects marrowy atmospheres and diabolic rhythmics, metal aggressiveness and puerile happiness, for finally producing a musical flow in constant mutation.
